Japanese music seems better?

Jasper Mangel: Japanese music being superior to American is of course purely subjective. There is one thing I've noticed though that seems to be common in Japanese musicians and that's eclectic records. One artist can have a pop track and have it followed by a hard rock one and then ending with a hip hop sounding one. American artists are restricted to the one genre they're labeled to be. If a metal band wants to do a more pop sounding song, they will be catergorized as sellouts. This is one of the reasons why Marty Friedman of Megadeth decided to move to Japan and make music. So in a sense, you can say that Japanese musicians are free to do what they want with their music....Show more

August Hubbard: LOL i am listening to Japanese music right now *for the record Neotenii by Nightmare* i think it is more hardcore, cute, and has talented gutarest * i know i suck at spelling* japanese music can be anything while american music is mostly stupid, and has no point

K! ing Bringle: No I don't think so. Some is good but some is so ordinary and similar to others. American ones are same too. To compare with others, you must listen to global music market too much.

Clemente Schoeck: yeswhile American music focuses too much on imageJaapanese music actually focuses on the musicbut there are artists who can be the Jaapanese version of Britney Spears if they really wanted toorock music is more popular over their tootoo much pop here...Show more

Nicolasa Henke: Edel said:"while American music focuses too much on imageJaapanese music actually focuses on the musicrock music is more popular over their tootoo much pop here"Are you kidding me? "Visual Kei," a Japanese invention, is primarily image with the music being practically inconsequential. Rock music is more popular in Japan than America? What are you smoking? Lots of Wapanese here....Show more

Shon Almquist: I prefer Japanese music better than American ones.
