Help with entertaining my dog?

Rashad Marecki: Are you sure she's bored. What does she do to make you think that way? In general Cavaliers are lazy lap dogs. They are happiest just being with you where ever that may be. In most cases when a dog is bored they act out in frustration. Chewing up your belongings and such. Digging holes in the yard, etc. But it's unlikely she's showing that behavior. Cavaliers are easy dogs. To make her feel like she's being stimulated and a part of your life. Take her to pet store with you when you buy her food and toys. Take her any place that allow dogs. Cavaliers love their people so they're game for anything that involves being with you by your side....Show more

Dominic Sciancalepore: Try playing hide and seek with herpork ears and bully sticks. Also, Kong products are awesome. They make a ton of interactive treat/toys. You can put your treat inside the Kong and watch your pup go crazy. They make balls and these awesome treat dispensers. We have the treat di! spenser for our border collie. She loves it! There is a small hole where she trys to get the treats out by pushing it around. It's really cute. I'm only suggesting treat/toys because it seems your dog is motivated by food. Good luck!...Show more

Ira Porietis: put a movie on.

Lucille Saetteurn: Maybe she just needs some different toys, the right toys for her. Treat dispensing toys are known for keeping dogs entertained for longer periods of time because dogs must use their brains in order to earn the treats. Here are some examples:Tug a Jug: http://www.activedogtoys.com/products/tug_a_jugMagic Mushroom: http://www.activedogtoys.com/products/magic-mushro... etc etcThere's also interactive chew toys that have rawhide rings along with rubber or nylon to encourage dogs to chew for longer periods of time (most of these also double as dental bones)Jack: http://www.activedogtoys.com/products/jack-largeBristle Bone: http://www.activedogtoys.com/products/bristle_bo! neThen there are dog games and dog puzzles that you could play! with your dog like: Nina Ottosson Dog Brick: http://www.activedogtoys.com/products/nina_ottosso...And then there's always an automatic fetch machine like Fetchtastic where your dog can play fetch by herself for as long as she wants: http://www.activedogtoys.com/products/fetchtasticBest of luck to you!...Show more

Renay Billiar: Try just taking her for walks, one or two a day. It will let her explore and see everything safely without being around strange dogs that she doesn't like.

Heidy Fujikake: Well agility can actually be done by little dogs, they just have smaller jumps. But scince you dont want to do that, next time when you are at your vet, talk to them about dog parks, your dog will need its shots and maybe a dog park liscence. Dog parks arent horrible places, and most of the time they are fine. If you are sure your dog will not start fights, dog parks can be fun. And when you do go, dont act nervous, that could make your dog nervous. Have you tried a ko! ng? You put treats, food, or just about any food inside, and your dog will try to figure out how to get the stuff out. It will take her some time at first, but will give her something to do. And she may not be bored, my dog seems totally fine just spending time with me....Show more

Cassidy Pangrazio: Take walks around the block for her to get some exercise and exploration happening without being overwhelmed by other dogs. Does she play fetch? Try playing that with her in your back yard and reward her when she is listening to you and attentive to your games.
