Oscar Waddups: as of right now there are 2 new daycare centers being built here on post and there is 1 center already being used...they do have the preschool programs~a friend of mine sons went there for over a year and the loved going to "school"...they should be up and running by next month...alot of day cares in JC do work with the military but i would highly recommend checking into the new centers being built on post alot of the daycares in town are kind of nasty looking and i know of a few that have been shut down for various reasons or another option you have is manhattan depending on where you're going to school at KState has a daycare on campus for students and faculity so you can check that out to...good luck on the movealso here is the link for the CDC here on post..http://www.riley.army.mil/Services/Family/CYS/CDC.......Show more
Catheryn Small: The other answerer is correct. There are two brand new child development centers being built right now on Ft. R! iley. But they wont be open and operational until after the New Year. Ft. Riley takes great pride in the fact that they have great child care. You can call ACS (Army Community Services) for specific details like phone numbers and rates. Their number is (785) 239-9435I assume you or your husband are in the army. Since you have the post services available, I would try to use them. I have friends here that use individual people as daycare/babysitting services. They are all creepy and unworthy if you ask me.But I'm fairly biased... as I'm applying to work for the Ft. Riley Child Development centers! These new centers are going to be a great addition to the services they already have for families!!...Show more
